Department of Political Science:

The department of Political Science of Cachar College, Silchar came into existence with the establishment of the college in 1960.Since its inception the Department has progressively tried to realize al aims of higher education in Political Science. The department has started its journey with Honours course from 1979-80 session and since then it is producing number of honours graduates every year. For a number of years P.G. course (under Guwahati University) in Political Science were held Cachar College premises involving teacher from within, to entire satisfaction of the students.
