Scheme of Studies:

The academic aspects of the two-year Higher Secondary course are governed by the rules and regulations of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. The Course is split into two years with two year-end examinations. As per the latest arrangements HS Final Year Examinations are conducted by the AHSEC while HS First Year Examinations are conducted by the College as per guidelines from AHSEC.

Eligibility for admission:

A student seeking admission to HS First Year classes in a certain academic year should have cleared the HSLC Examination under SEBA or any other equivalent examination recognized by competent authorities in the same year. Besides, the student has to comply with all norms as set by the Cachar College Admission Committee from time to time. Except the cases of reservation and official quota merit is the only criterion for admission. Students passing out the HS First Year Examination are eligible for admission to HS Final Year Classes.

Reservation of seats:

As per Govt. rules seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD candidates. The College management may use the sports quota in case of exceptional sporting talents.
